Meet Dr. Amir Koopah
Dr. Amir Koopah developed his passion for dentistry as a child, observing his father’s enjoyment and fulfillment in his long career practicing dentistry. Amir saw that dentists improve people's health and form long-lasting relationships with their patients and patients’ children and even grandchildren. Another inspiration was his older brother, Dr. Reza Koopah, who also became a dentist.
The profession appealed to Dr. Amir, because it combines medical science and art. He wanted to achieve scientific knowledge and artistry, and become one of the best in the field of cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Dedicated to uncompromising quality, he delivers the highest standard of care to his patients, the care he would want for his own teeth.
Dr. Amir graduated from San Francisco State University and earned his dental degree at the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. He acquired his first dental practice in 1999, one block from his brother’s practice. The Koopahs decided to merge their practices, and today offer the full range of dental services with a specialization in cosmetic, restorative, and preventive dentistry. Their offices, both conveniently located in the Bay Area, were designed to their own exacting specifications. Committed to the highest quality, the practice invests in today’s advanced dental technologies, which are less invasive and cause less discomfort than traditional dental and surgical procedures.
Devoted to education and the continuous improvement of dental techniques and cosmetic procedures, Dr. Amir participates in training sessions with the world’s top practitioners at the Interdisciplinary Dental Education Academy (IDEA Institute). He has served as Assistant Professor at the University of California, San Francisco and the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. Dr. Amir also donates his services to employees of the Delancey Street Foundation, the country's leading residential self-help organization for substance abusers and others who need help to reenter society.
